Requirements
Volunteers must;
- Be age 18 or older;
- Hold at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent;
- Be Reliable
- Be willing to follow directions and guidelines;
- Exhibit patience, compassion, and sensitivity to others;
- Want to improve our community;
- Must be willing to make a time commitment (varies according to location).
After you submit your application, you will be contacted by the Literacy Coalition or a member organization.
Training and Orientation
Training and professional events are free to interested and current volunteers, teachers and tutors. Member organizations may offer additional training and support.
